The Coalition for Common Land has received a reply from Richard Benyon in response to their letter asking the government to implement Part 1 of the Commons Act 2006. In his letter he acknowledges the importance and value of common land and states that resources need to be available in local authorities and central government before they commence implementation.
The Foundation for Common Land will look for innovative ways to enable Defra to take Part 1 forward.
