The latest press release from RPA published today states that around 3,500 claims from landowners with rights to common land are yet to be paid.

Commoners continue to be badly treated by RPA and unfortunately there is not much light at the end tunnel. RPA are planning another round of communications with commoners but given the current formĀ  it is most unlikely they will meet the payment dates in the letters, except in a small minority of cases. The impact of the bearing the brunt of late payments is taking its toll on farm businesses. There are many desperate many commoners out there. Once again the RPA press release brings bad news for commoners, is bad for ruralĀ  communities and bad for common land.
